College of DuPage Celebrates Constitution Day 2017

College of DuPage student Umair Khan of Darien reads and copies the U.S. Constitution as part of the College's observance of Constitution Day. "The Constitution: 230 Years Later" invited participants to examine the text of the Constitution and rewrite its words by hand to strengthen the learning process. COD's Constitution Day observance also included a reenactment of the federalist and anti-federalists debates by Political Science Professor David Goldberg, Political Science Assistant Professor Melissa Mouritsen and Criminal Justice Assistant Professor Tauya Johnson.
