Algonquin Rotary Club, Algonquin Founders River Relief offer financial aid

The Algonquin Rotary Club is offering donated funds to help relieve the financial hardships caused by the recent natural disaster in the community, the flood of July 2017.

Funds were collected at Algonquin Founders' Car Show/Cruise Night, the River Relief Benefit and by many other anonymous donors.

While a finding of distress does not require families and individuals to be in a state of poverty or destitution, this flood relief is intended to assist those who are facing the most severe financial hardship.

Therefore, those determined to have the greatest need will be given a higher priority in our selection process.

Funds will be processed by the Algonquin Rotary Club and are intended to meet immediate needs for necessary household furnishings, appliances, food and utilities, as well as cleanup and repair or reimbursement of expenses.

If you live in Algonquin and have experienced losses due to the flood of July 2017 you are eligible to apply. The application forms are on at portal.clubrunner.ca/2352.

Download the application form under the right column titled "Homepage Download Files." Fill out the application and return it to Algonquin Rotary Club Flood Relief, P.O. Box 111, Algonquin, IL 60102, by Friday, Oct. 15.

The Algonquin Rotary Club has been active in the community for over 25 years.
