H.C. Storm Elementary held its annual McTeacher's Night Sept. 13

H.C. Storm Elementary School held its annual McTeacher's Night on Wednesday, Sept. 13, at the Batavia McDonald's on Wilson Street.

A McTeacher's Night is organized to help raise money for local schools by having teachers and staff work at McDonald's and then giving a percentage of the night's sales back to the local school.

The restaurant was taken over by teachers and staff members from H.C. Storm Elementary excited to serve freshly prepared meals to students and their families to raise money for the H.C. Storm PTO.

There were 18 teachers and staff who worked from the school including Principal Anne Paonessa who volunteered most of the night. The McTeacher's jobs included greeting guests, cleaning the lobby, working the front counter, serving drinks and clearing tables.

Thank you to PTO representative Katherine Murphy who organized the event. H.C. Storm Elementary School teachers and staff worked hard and with excitement, while the families enjoyed a spectacular evening.

The Batavia school plans to use the more than $500 raised from the event for their Spark Science Lab.
