College of DuPage Sends Thousands of Donations to Hurricane Ravaged Texas

College of DuPage volunteers sorted supplies, packed boxes and raised funds during a donation drive for those impacted by Hurricane Harvey.

Volunteers filled one of the College's CDL program semitrailers with donated school supplies, which was then driven by Foodliner Inc. of Franklin Park to the Houston Independent School District. Click here for more images and view a video from the event.

Additionally, volunteers collected more than $1,400 for the Harvey HELP fund through the Illinois Community College System Foundation. The funds will be donated to the Texas Association of Community Colleges to support emergency student-aid programs, which help students and their families recover from and manage immediate life-and-logistics emergencies, affording them the ability to stay, or quickly get back on, their higher education pathways.
