COD offers free STEMinar
Neal Sales-Griffin, CEO of CodeNow, a nonprofit organization that hosts coding workshops for students from low-income backgrounds in six cities nationwide, will speak this week in College of DuPage's STEMinar Series.
Sales-Griffin will share his story as a mixed-race, low-income child growing up on the South Side of Chicago who became a successful student and businessman at Northwestern University.
The free event begins at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15, in the Health and Science Center, Room 1234, on campus, 425 Fawell Blvd., Glen Ellyn.
Before he became CEO of CodeNow, Sales-Griffin was CEO of innovative tech institution The Starter League. He serves as a coordinator of the International Game Developer's Association, as a faculty member for Northwestern University's Farley Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and as a mentor in the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship.
