Open house on Schaumburg land plan Sept. 11
The village of Schaumburg is inviting the public to attend an open house on its new comprehensive land-use plan from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 11, at the Prairie Center for the Arts, 201 Schaumburg Court.
After months of analysis and community input, the draft recommendations are ready for review and feedback.
The comprehensive plan was last updated in 1996. Since that time, significant development and redevelopment has occurred.
In 2016, the village began working with Houseal Lavigne and Associates to review the policies and directives in the current plan, perform community outreach and create the vision of the new plan.
