Resilience, good behavior focus of Glenbard Parent Series Sept. 13 events

The Glenbard Parent Series: Navigating Healthy Families will present three programs with Dr. Deborah Gilboa as part of "A Day with Dr. G" on Wednesday, Sept. 13. Gilboa is passionate about mentoring young people with character.

The following is the schedule for "A Day with Dr. G" on Sept. 13:

How to Teach Resilience to Young Children:

9:30 a.m. in the Marquardt School District 15 Administration Center at 1860 Glen Ellyn Road in Glendale Heights

Get the Behavior You Want … Without Being the Parent You Hate:

Noon in the Marquardt Administration Center at 1860 Glen Ellyn Road in Glendale Heights

Learn how to use everyday opportunities to foster positive behaviors in tweens and teens without nagging or screaming.

Health Expo:

6:15 to 7 p.m.

Arrive early at Glenbard West, 670 Crescent Blvd. in Glen Ellyn, and receive free health assessments and giveaways from more than 25 organizations.

Start the Year Off Right - Raising Responsible, Resilient, and Successful Teens:

7 p.m. at Glenbard West, 670 Crescent Blvd. in Glen Ellyn

Learn practical tools to nurture resilience, build life skills, and help adolescents successfully launch to adulthood.

CPDUs are available. GPS is generously sponsored by the Cebrin Goodman Center, Cooperative Association for Special Education (CASE), College of DuPage, DuPage Medical Group, Emmy Gaffey Foundation and Trust Company of Illinois.
