2017 Chicagoland Hot Shot shooting champions

With more than 350 boys and girls competing all over the Chicago area this past summer, the finals for the Chicagoland Hot Shot Shooting Contest were held at Regina Dominican High School on Sunday, Aug. 13, with the following results:

• Boys ages 8 and younger: Champion, Ben Armour, St. Paul of the Cross School, Park Ridge; second place, Anthony Baldassano, Immaculate Conception School, Chicago; and third Place, Oliver Coopmans, St. Edward School, Chicago.

• Boys ages 9 and older: Champion, Brendan Fletcher, St. Paul of the Cross School, Park Ridge; second place, Cian Hough, St. Paul of the Cross School, Park Ridge; and third place, Ben Stein, Chicago Academy, Chicago.

• Girls ages 8 and younger: Champion, Kate Leonard, St. Juliana School, Chicago; second place, Erin Gibbons, St. Juliana School, Chicago; and third place, Callie Cook, St. Mary of the Woods School, Chicago.

• Girls ages 9 and older: Champion, Samantha Booth, Mary Seat of Wisdom School, Park Ridge; second place, Molly Newell, St. Juliana School, Chicago; and third place, Clare Leonard, St. Juliana School, Chicago.
