Dundee Library to show students how to use online tutors, get homework help

The Fox River Valley Public Library District recently unveiled a new eResource to their library card holders called "Brainfuse."

Students in the library district (and their parents!) now have access to bilingual, live tutors and an extensive amount of online resources.

Students can upload their research papers and have experts review it and make suggestions, collaborate in live chat study groups, send in any question and get the answer, and practice any of their subjects with lessons, quizzes, and tests.

To get the most out of the new resource, two programs will be held at the Dundee Library, 555 Barrington Ave. (Route 68) in East Dundee.

"Beyond Homework Help for High School" will be presented from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, and "Beyond Homework Help for Elementary and Middle School" from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12.

Students and their parents can register on the online calendar at www.frvpld.info, by phone at (847)428-3661, press 3, or in person at the Dundee Library or the Randall Oaks Library at 500 N. Randall Road in West Dundee.

The district serves 70,000 residents of Carpentersville, East Dundee, West Dundee, Sleepy Hollow, Gilberts, and parts of Algonquin.
