What's the most valuable card in your wallet? A Palatine Library card! September is Library Card Sign-up Month, a time when libraries across the country remind everyone of the enormous value of having and using a library card.

Once again, in celebration of Library Card Sign-up Month, Palatine Public Library District provides, Show Your Card and Save! From September 1 through September 30, participating businesses are offering savings, discounts, and freebies, to those who show their Palatine Library card. Savings from local businesses include automotive, financial, fitness and recreation, food and drink, health and beauty, and shopping. Your Palatine Library card provides access to streaming and downloadable movies, music, and e-books, educational and business research tools online, and much more. We offer a wide variety of programs and events, helpful services, meeting rooms and study spaces, and a Digital Media Center for digital projects. Your Library card provides you with all these valuable opportunities-all at no extra cost-a treasure, right in your wallet!

To get a personal library card, bring one photo ID showing proof of residency within the district boundaries, and you will receive a welcome gift! Children under age 14 need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian, when applying for a card.

To get a business library card, the owner or manager from a local business or not-for-profit organization should bring in his/her personal photo ID and the business's current tax bill, lease agreement, or utility bill proving operation within district boundaries.

Palatine Public Library District is your destination for knowledge, entertainment, and community. The District serves approximately 90,000 residents predominantly within the communities of Palatine and Hoffman Estates.
