St. Charles library seeks feedback on strategic planning process

The St. Charles Public Library, 1 S. Sixth Ave., is seeking community input as it launches a new strategic planning process that will guide the library in the future.

The comprehensive process, led by the Northern Illinois University's Center for Governmental Studies, will develop the library's long-term strategic plan to enhance the library's services and programs.

"We have a longstanding tradition of prioritizing the needs of the community. We welcome your input so we can continue that tradition," shared Library Director Edith G. Craig.

Residents of the St. Charles Library District are encouraged to participate in the process through an online survey on the library's website www.scpld.org.

The survey is completely anonymous and will close Wednesday, Sept. 6.

The data collected is instrumental to the library board and administration and will help shape the roles of the library over the next several years.

On Thursday, Sept. 28, the library invites residents to share your vision for the future of the library during a community input session from 6 to 8 p.m. Interested residents can email ecraig@scpld.org or call (630) 584-0076, ext. 273, for more information.
