Heart and Soul Fund will host the 15th annual Family Picnic and Baggo Tournament at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26 at the Bonkosky Complex at Lippold Park, 851 Route 176 in Crystal Lake.

This event will raise money to help two local families. All money raised from this event will be distributed directly to these families to assist them from hardship incurred from family illness.

The Walters family of Travis, Rachel and their two children are one of the families. Travis is currently battling a rare, aggressive form of cancer that has progressed to stage 4. He has endured multiple surgeries and is currently having to travel frequently to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota for treatments.

The Greene family of Adam, Rachel and Emma recently lost their daughter and sibling, Abbey Greene, due to a brain tumor. They are in the process of starting a foundation to bring awareness to this devastating childhood cancer. Visit www.anotherdaywithabby.com to read her beautiful but heartbreaking story.
