John Mefferd Artwork at Frisbie Senior Center in September

Throughout the month of September, acrylic paintings by artist John Mefferd will be on display at the Frisbie Senior Center, 52 E. Northwest Hwy., in Des Plaines. After a friend gave him a paint set while on a trip out west, John's passion for creating beautiful landscapes was inspired by his travels through Oregon, California, Colorado and South Dakota. Six paintings, entitled "Imaginary Western Landscapes" was born out of his ten month trip.

The Frisbie Senior Center is open the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month from 8:30 am-8:00 pm; every Thursday from 8:30 am-8:00 pm; and Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday between 8:30 am-4:00 pm.
