Naperville Little Friends adds seven board members

Seven new members have joined the board of directors of Naperville-based Little Friends, which serves children and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities.

"I appreciate their passion and commitment to help Little Friends and look forward to working with them to expand Little Friends' reach and impact throughout the communities we serve," said Mike Briggs, Little Friends' president and CEO.

Each of the new directors will serve three-year terms. They are:

• Dr. Ushaben Chavda, pediatric and adolescent medicine;

• Chris Finck, TreeHouse Foods;

• Karla Harmon, Jones Lang LaSalle;

• Eric Jones, Lewis University;

• Kevin Kobe, John Greene commercial;

• Anthony Losurdo, Gibson's Restaurant Group; and

• Mark Wright, Diverse Facility Solutions.

The seven newcomers join eight sitting board members helping oversee the agency that serves 800 clients and families each year.

The Little Friends Center for Autism is a nationally recognized resource for parents and professionals where children can receive diagnostic evaluations, as well as speech and occupational therapy, and adults can learn more about supporting those with autism.

Little Friends operates three schools and the Lifeskills Training Center.
