Library to Present Alternatives to Cable TV Contracts

What are the alternatives to cable television? Various options will be presented in "Cut the Cable Cord" from 7-8 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 7 in the Adult Classroom of the Schaumburg Township District Library, 130 S. Roselle Rd., Schaumburg. Presenter Ian Lashbrook will explore the many ways of moving from a provider's programming contract to pre-selected, packaged channels with each viewer's preferred content. Provider choices to be discussed will include Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Video.

A complete listing of programs for all ages is in the library's Guide, which is mailed to Schaumburg Township residents and available in all three library locations - Schaumburg, Hoffman Estates and Hanover Park. The Guide can also be found online at www.SchaumburgLibrary.org.
