British pro to attend Benedictine golf outing

British golf professional Nick Faldo will join Benedictine University in its efforts to raise money for student scholarships at the 23rd annual President's Invitational Golf Outing.

Registration begins at 10 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at noon Monday, Aug. 21, at White Eagle Golf Club, 3400 Club Drive, Naperville. The cost for golf, program and dinner is $350 per person or $1,400 per foursome.

After beginning his professional career at age 19, Faldo went on to amass 40 tournament victories, six major wins and a record 11 Ryder Cup appearances. Today, he is a lead analyst for CBS and the Golf Channel.

Faldo will tour the course to meet briefly and take photos with participating foursomes. The day continues with a cocktail hour starting at 5 p.m., closing remarks from Faldo, dinner, and an awards presentation in the main dining room of the clubhouse.
