Friday at Rotary: Dad of Teen Who Needs Kidney Transplant

The teenage son of Bob Dobson has had kidney problems since birth. He now has only 25% function in his kidneys, is on dialysis, and facing huge expenses related to his possible transplant. And yet, according to his father, he retains his sunny disposition and love of games, like any 16 year old.

The Dobson family will be visiting the Lake Zurich Rotary Club to talk about Matt's situation and his donation page on the Children's Organ Transplant Association web site. The family is also hosting a craft sale in October.

Dobson works for AT&T in Arlington Heights and his wife, Nancy, works for Quill Corporation and makes soaps. Matt attends Lake Zurich High School.

The Lake Zurich Rotary Club meets at 12:15 on Fridays at the Foglia YMCA, 1025 N. Old McHenry Road, Lower Level, Lake Zurich. Everyone is welcome. Lunch for guests is free. For more information or to reserve a place, email lzrotary@gmail.com.
