Hear about 'Tales of Tanzania: Agriculture and Customs'

Peace Corps volunteer and St. Charles resident Dennis Sheehan will present "Tales of Tanzania" at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, in the Carnegie Community Room at the St. Charles Public Library, 1 S. Sixth Ave.

Sheehan will share his experiences as an agriculture extension volunteer during his recent Peace Corps service to Tanzania.

Sheehan resides in the village of Ibatu in the Njombe region of the United Republic of Tanzania. Today, there are more than 220 Peace Corps volunteers in Tanzania working with their communities on projects in agriculture, education and health. Since the program was established in 1961, more than 2,850 Peace Corp volunteers have served in Tanzania.
