PM&L Theatre to hold auditions for 'Almost, Maine'

Auditions for PM&L Theatre's production of "Almost, Maine," written by John Cariani, will be held on Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 21 and 22, at PM&L Theatre, with potential callbacks at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 23. Auditioners should only come on either Monday or Tuesday and can leave after they're done reading.

PM&L Theatre is at 877 N. Main St., Antioch.

"Almost, Maine" will be directed by Mark Audrain.

Auditioners should arrive a few minutes before 7 p.m. on their preferred day to fill out an audition form. Those auditioning are encouraged to prepare a monologue, and will also be cold-reading from the script or reading a monologue at the auditions.

All roles are available and all ages and types are welcome.

"Almost, Maine" is made up of nine short plays that explore discovery and loss in a mythical small town full of people falling in and out of love.

"Almost, Maine" will open on Friday, Oct. 20, and will run Fridays through Sundays for three weekends, closing on Nov. 5.

PM&L Theatre is a nonprofit, community-based volunteer organization located in historical downtown Antioch. The theater is proud of its open audition policy; actors, technicians and support staff are needed for all shows.
