Pakistan Property & Trade Show in Addison, Illinois

The Consulate General of Pakistan in Chicago organized a "Pakistan trade and property show" in collaboration with Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) on last Saturday, August 05, 2017 at Shalimar Banquets 280 W North Ave, Addison, IL 60101

The two-day expo attracted Hundreds of visitors, including Chicago based Pakistani origin business community, Local business associations and several Business groups from private sectors.

The Expo has brought representatives of more than 35 businesses from Pakistan mainly from real estate, building, fixtures, Textiles and furniture sectors.

The leader of RCCI delegation Mr. Raja Amer Iqbal also briefed the audience about ongoing business activities in Pakistan. He said that RCCI with its state of the art facility and enthusiastic team is keen to work with Pakistani- Americans. He appreciated the Consulate General of Pakistan for its efforts in establishing business contacts between Pakistan and United States. He said that today's large attendance of Pakistani-Americans and Americans would help promote commercial relations between the two countries

In his keynote address the Consul General Faisal Niaz Tirmizi said that Pakistani market has huge potential for profitable investments by overseas Pakistanis. He stressed for the need of more business to business contacts between Pakistan and United States. He said that the Sister City Agreement, which signed last month between Sialkot and Bolingbrook, will enhance business relations between these two cities. He said that the Consulate General of Pakistan is actively exploring possibilities of the same arrangement between other cities of Pakistan and United States.

Mr. Amer Sultan, Commercial Counsellor briefed the audience about investment opportunities in Pakistan. He presented a PowerPoint presentation highlighting the economic development of Pakistan in the backdrop of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor Project.
