College of DuPage August 'Images' Highlights Fall 2017 Term, Robert J. Miller Homeland Security Education Center Dedication

"Images," College of DuPage's monthly one-half hour television show, features in its August edition segments on the start of the College's fall 2017 term and the recent dedication of the Robert J. Miller Homeland Security Education Center and student memorial.

Each month, Images highlights the personalities, news and curriculum of a vibrant College of DuPage campus. The show airs on 13 area cable television stations.

The August Images features a welcome message from College President Dr. Ann Rondeau to new and returning students. The College's fall term begins Monday, Aug. 21.

This month's show also features a segment on the recent dedication of the Robert J. Miller Homeland Security Education Center. More than 300 people gathered at the July 6 event to view two new memorials within the building honoring Medal of Honor Recipient Miller and College of DuPage students who have fallen in the line of duty through their service as firefighters, police officers and military service members.

The August Images also features 2017 Overall Outstanding Faculty member, Karan Oliver-Tucci, assistant professor of Biology. Oliver-Tucci discusses her career and the connection she makes with students in the classroom.

This month's show also highlights 2017 Outstanding Graduates Safia Khan and Renee Mecklenburg. The two offer their thoughts on choosing College of DuPage to further their education and the opportunities and experiences they've had on campus.

Images airs at various times on cable television stations in Downers Grove, Wheaton, Addison, Elmhurst, Glen Ellyn, Naperville, Glendale Heights, Bartlett, Lemont, Elk Grove, Darien, Aurora and West Chicago. Check local cable listings for times and channels.
