Trinity International University's softball players and coaches are holding a 3-day softball camp for players ages 9-14.

Trinity's Head Coach Kent Szarabajka is leading the camp that takes place from 10 a.m. to noon Aug. 14-16 at the softball field at the university, 2065 Half Day Road in Deerfield. The cost is $50 a day per player.

Every day a different set of skill sets will be mastered.

• Aug. 14 - Fielding, throwing, pitching and catching

• Aug. 15 - Hitting, bunting, baserunning and pitching and catching

• Aug. 16 - Scrimmage game

Players can sign up for as many of the camps as they choose.

The Trinity softball players say the goal of the camp is to share their knowledge and passion for the game. The coaches plan to teach basic fundamentals, along with challenging athletes to understand what it takes to be a successful player on and off the field.
