Registration Opens for North Suburban YMCA Fall Programs

Summer has passed its halfway point, and families are starting to plan for fall activities. The North Suburban YMCA is ready with dozens of programs for all ages, including new options in art, fitness, early childhood enrichment, youth development, and special services. Fall classes begin August 28 at the Y, located at 2705 Techny Road in Northbrook.

The North Suburban YMCA offers a vast variety of classes in aquatics, health and fitness, performing and visual arts, sports, and enrichment for children and adults. With an indoor pool, renovated indoor track and fitness areas, colorful childcare rooms, and spacious studios, the Y welcomes the entire community for experiences that promote youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

For the fall, new programs include:

• The Y Maker Space, where guests can create their own visions using the Y's Digital Media lab, art supplies, building materials, and tools

• Les Mills Bodypump and Grit fitness programs

• Lunch Time Express, Hump Day Recharge, and Row and More group exercise classes

• Yoga for Optimal Aging

• Preschool Sports Fun Class

• Non-Contact Youth Rugby

• Over 25 new classes in visual arts and digital media for preschoolers through adults.

Registration is open now for Y members, and will open for non-members on August 7. In addition to advance registration, members enjoy discounts on program fees, free fitness and yoga classes, free admission to Y special events, free childcare, and other benefits.
