Schaumburg Summer Theatre presents Sondheim's Sweeney Todd

Schaumburg Summer Theatre's production of Sondheim's Sweeney Todd plays to standing ovations over its opening weekend at the Prairie Center for the Arts.

A company of 59 college and high school students readies for two final performances of Stephen Sondheim's macabre musical Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street Friday, August 4 and Saturday August 5 beginning at 7:30 pm. Tickets, $20 for adults and $16 for students and seniors, can be ordered by calling the Prairie Center box office at (847) 895-3600 weekdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., or by visiting www.prairiecenter.org. The Prairie Center is located at 201 Schaumburg Ct. in Schaumburg, IL.

"Sweeney Todd" is presented by Schaumburg Bank and Trust. The Schaumburg Summer Theatre program is sponsored by the Village of Schaumburg.
