Hanover Township seniors to showcase art

Hanover Township seniors will be showcasing their artwork in the township's 11th annual "Got Art?" art show to run through August.

Residents are encouraged to view the hundreds of pieces created by seniors in art classes at the Hanover Township Senior Center and elsewhere.

From 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 10, the public is invited to attend an artist reception at the Senior Center, 240 S. Route 59, Bartlett. Light refreshments will be served; live music will also be performed.

"The township's annual art show is a great event for not only friends and family of the artists, but also for the community to view and talk with the artists," said Brian P. McGuire, Hanover Township supervisor. "It is amazing to see the different styles of talent from our residents."

In the last township fiscal year, 844 seniors participated in 65 different art classes at the Senior Center.
