Twisted Rose restaurant raising money for Algonquin flood victims

Twisted Rose, a world cuisine restaurant and sports bar in Algonquin, is holding a four-day fundraiser from July 27-30 to benefit the victims of Algonquin's recent flooding.

In Algonquin, the Fox River hit a new record high, cresting at 13.15 feet, and flooding resulted in the Algonquin Founders' Days being canceled for the first time in 57 years and severe damage.

"Ten percent of all sales will go towards restoring Algonquin and helping our neighbors affected by the record flooding," said Debbie Natzke, of Twisted Rose. "We are inviting the entire community to be a part of this monumental event and to give back to those in need."

The fun-filled fundraiser will feature live music, games, dunk tanks, drink and food specials and lots of surprises. There is no cover charge.

Twisted Rose also recently held a grand reopening that included live music and the Scorched Earth Brewing company was on hand offering beer tasting. Twisted Rose served its renowned handmade meals that satisfied even the most ambitious eaters.

Twisted Rose features a cornucopia of American, European, Italian, Greek and other global cuisines. Signature menu classics include calamari steak, sizzling saganaki, London broil, Italian Angus burger, tempura shrimp, chicken Italiano, calzones, pizza and much more. All of its food is made from scratch, using only the highest-quality ingredients.
