Rep. Skillicorn alerts residents to flood assistance resource center

State Rep. Allen Skillicorn (R-East Dundee) would like to alert residents of the 66th House District about a Multi-Agency Resource Center being set up this weekend in McHenry County to assist residents impacted by flooding.

Many agencies will be present to help residents, including the Red Cross and Salvation Army, as well as many private agencies to aid flood victims and answer any questions regarding cleanup, insurance and more. The service is free to all 66th District residents that are in need of flood assistance.

"So many families have been impacted by the recent flooding and this resource center will provide critical assistance and information to anyone in the 66th District who needs it, free of charge," said Skillicorn. "If your family or anyone you know needs assistance, please take advantage of this opportunity."

The Multi-Agency Resource Center will be set up from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, July 28, and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 29, at the McHenry Township Recreation Center, Building B, 3519 N. Richmond Road, Johnsburg, IL 60051.
