Although recently retired, they are still actively engaged in different forms of teaching nature programs for the St. Charles Park District, organizing and leading field trips for the Kane County Audubon Society, and teaching bird classes at the College of DuPage. They have long been interested in nature and the environment, and would like to bring you awareness of the outdoors through their presentations. Sit back and enjoy the sights and sounds you would experience on a beautiful spring day. Nelson Lake, the jewel of the Fox Valley, is the place we have chosen for our walk. Bird calls and the appearance of flowers found only in spring will delight you.
