The restaurant features self-service Kiosks to place your order. Alvaro Bonta also said how the Nelson's are so committed to the community and 90% of all McDonald's are franchises and how the Nelson's take so much pride in their community and today McDonald's is now so much better due to the many ways McDonald's can now serve their customers and give them the best experience and freshest food.

She said how her two sons started out as Landscape Architects at the family McDonald's restaurants, pulling weeds and planting flowers when they were just little boys. Jan also thanked the Village for all their support during construction and how amazed she was that she only had to close the restaurant for ten short days. Jan said how proud she is to be a part of the Village of Hanover Park and make this investment in such a great community.

Thank you to Nanette Gudenkauf and Mary Smith of the Bartlett Area Chamber of Commerce who helped make the event a success. The event featured complimentary McDonald's appetizers, and frappes, and of course the cake. The event also featured a special appearance by Ronald McDonald.
