Fit America Fest returns to Hoffman Estates this weekend

The Fit America Fest celebration returns to Hoffman Estates this weekend for the eighth year.

Sponsored by Amita Health, the village and the Hoffman Estates Park District, the rebranded Fit America Fest has fun for everyone, including a patriotic salute to America where runners cross the finish line waving the flag.

The running events will take place on Saturday, July 22. All distances offer scenic USA Track & Field (USATF) certified courses that travel through north Hoffman Estates, the Paul Douglas Forest Preserve, and the AT&T complex on roads and paved trails. You don't have to be a professional to participate. The nighttime Glo-Run returns Saturday evening with a neon luau theme beginning at 8:55 p.m.

Sunday, July 23, events include the Chicago Inline Marathon, the second largest in the country, and other activities. Choose a challenge that matches your fitness level and sign up by Thursday, July 20, at allcommunityevents.com.
