Advocate Presents the 36th Annual Advocate Condell Medical Center Golf Open on July 24 at Ivanhoe
Advocate Condell Medical Center and the Advocate Charitable Foundation will host the 36th Annual Condell Medical Center Golf Open Monday, July 24, at the Ivanhoe Club, Ivanhoe.
This event will raise funds to support Women and Infants Services at Condell, where more babies are welcomed into the world than any other Lake County Hospital.
As a nonprofit organization, Advocate relies on philanthropic support to fulfill its mission and provide world-class care to individuals and families in our community.
Contributions to the Advocate Charitable Foundation, the fundraising arm of Advocate Health Care, benefit programs like Advocate Condell Medical Center's Women and Infants Services.
The golf open will specifically raise funds in support of the expansion of the Birthing Center in order to increase safety, comfort, privacy, convenience and peace of mind.
The renovation will allow Condell to care for more moms and their babies, including those who face significant medical challenges.
Longtime volunteer Bob Schachner said, "As chair of the annual Advocate Condell Golf Open for nearly 30 years, I have had the opportunity to meld my love of golf and my charitable interests.
"I truly believe it is important to support the local hospital because having world-class care right in our own backyard benefits the entire community. This event provides an opportunity to do just that - and have fun at the same time."
