Eight local eateries join in Cocktails in the Park
Batavia MainStreet invites the community to attend the 2017 Cocktails in the Park annual fundraiser at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 22, in Appleton Park near the Riverwalk behind city hall in downtown Batavia.
The event raised $15,000 last year and the hope is to surpass that with help from the community. The funds raised will be used to support other downtown programming from organizers, Batavia MainStreet, such as BatFest, Batavia Farmers Market, Egg Hop, Block Party and more.
Tickets for the event are $25 in advance and can be purchased at downtownbatavia.com or at the Batavia MainStreet office, located at 4½ W. Wilson St. in Batavia. Tickets at the gate are $30.
Tickets also include a commemorative Batavia MainStreet whiskey glass; food from participating downtown restaurants; live local music; a win the bar raffle; and a cash bar that includes wine from Aquaviva Winery, beer from Sam Adams, and cocktails from Fox River Distilling Co.
Again, this year, a special raffle will take place with 200 tickets available for $50 each, and a one-in-200 chance to win $2,500.
Tickets for that raffle can be purchased online or at the MainStreet office for $50.
Eight local eateries will provide small plate dishes, including Pal Joey's, River's Edge Bar and Grill, Gaetano's, Batavia Creamery, Gammon Coach House, Bernie's Bully Dogs, Salsa Verde, and Enticing Cuisine.
This event is made possible by supportive partners and sponsors. Thank you to Presenting Sponsors Boyce Body Werks and Gerald Subaru and In-Kind Sponsors Advanced Disposal and Kane County Chronicle.
