Join Huntley police for 'Tip a Cop' to support Special Olympics

On Saturday, July 8, members of the Huntley Police Department will serve as waiters in support of the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Illinois Special Olympics from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Culver's of Huntley, 12950 Route 47.

For the 14th year in a row Culver's will host "Tip a Cop" in order to raise money and awareness for Special Olympics Illinois.

During "Tip a Cop" members of the Police Department and Special Olympic Athletes will act as waiters and receive donations for Special Olympics.

Illinois Torch Run merchandise (hat, shirts and pins) also will be available during this event.

Special Olympics Illinois supports over 22,600 athletes with intellectual disabilities and more than 19,000 young athletes, age 2 to 7, with and without intellectual disabilities from communities throughout the state including Huntley.
