Support the creative expression of artists at the Schaumburg Park District.

Impressions Visual Arts Show will showcase art created at by artists who have attended classes and camps this summer at the District. The show will take place 4 to 6 p.m. on July 15, at the Community Recreation Center, 505 N. Springinsguth Road.

"This is a chance for budding artists of all ages and skill levels to have their artwork displayed and viewed," said Beth Waller, cultural arts supervisor.

Various styles of art will be on display, including ceramics, water color, tempera, drawing and cartooning. Attendees will get to vote for their favorite work of art from different age groups.

"Since this event is going on before the Saturday night performance of 'The Music Man,' those attending the musical may also view the artwork before the performance." Waller said.

This event is free to attend.
