St. Patrick parish offers free lunch program this summer

The St. Patrick Service Planning Committee is providing a sack lunch free of charge for those in need during the summer months. No registration or paperwork is required.

It is offered from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesdays through Aug. 16 at the Father Carse Center at St. Patrick Parish, 400 Cedar St. in downtown St. Charles.

Each sack lunch includes one peanut butter and jelly sandwich, a juice box, a bag of chips, a package of sweet treats, and one squeezable fruit pouch. A peanut-free sandwich is available for those with peanut allergies.

This program is funded through the generous gifts of the St. Patrick parishioners. Volunteers help make the sandwiches and pack the lunches.
