Nominate Lake County resident for Hometown Hero award

The Women's Leadership Council of United Way of Lake County invites members of Lake County to nominate someone who has devoted their time, talent, and resources to support early childhood literacy in Lake County for the WLC's Hometown Hero Award.

Any Lake County resident may submit up to two nominations for one male and one female. Nominees must be 21 years or older. The deadline for nominations is July 7.

Two award winners will be selected and celebrated at the dinner reception of WLC's Annual Play A-Round of Lake County Kids golf fundraiser on Monday, Aug. 7, at White Deer Run in Vernon Hills.

The Hometown Hero award is just one way WLC highlights the importance of early childhood literacy.
