Garden Club of Inverness installs new officers

The Garden Club of Inverness closed out the 2017-18 club year during its annual spring luncheon. President Shirley Putman had a few remarks, new officers were installed, and the 2018-19 board was introduced.

Officers are: Linda Denison, president; Nancy Kaye, first vice president; Diane Sanfillippo, second vice president; Nancy Stacy, recording secretary; Diane Garcea, corresponding secretary; Jeanne Martin, treasurer; and Shirley Putman, director.

Committee chairwomen are Hospitality, Joyce Axe and Kathy Rein; membership, Susan Erickson; publicity, Holly Bowen; scholarship, Sally Hard; holiday luncheon, Janet Sweno; webmaster, Pam MacGillivray; village gardens, Melodie Moroney; and garden therapy, Mary Rubino.

The club will start its new season at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, at All Saints Lutheran Church, 630 S. Quentin Road, Palatine.
