Memory expert Linda Sasser to offer strategies for seniors

As we age, keeping the brain sharp is vital to enjoying a full and rewarding lifestyle. Dr. Linda Sasser will present "Keep Your Brain Fit and Your Memory Sharp" on Thursday, July 13 at 1:30 p.m., at Windsor Park retirement community, 124 Windsor Park Drive, Carol Stream.

Sasser will describe activities attendees can use to maintain and even improve brain function. Using her distinctive method of optimizing the brain functions of attention, working memory, and long-term memory, attendees will learn how to better remember names, information and tasks.

Sasser has been studying and speaking on the issues impacting memory and brain health for more than three decades. She has an M.A. and Ph.D. in educational psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder and is a former education professor at Judson University, Elgin, Ill. and Wheaton College, Wheaton, Ill.
