Last year, more than $42,000 in recreation grants was awarded. Among the many youth program recipients were the Fox Valley Junior Golf Academy ($12,500), Healthy Minds/Healthy Bodies program for veterans ($7,000), Jesse "The Law" Torres Boxing Club ($5,000), Red Oak Outdoor Adventure Club ($5,000) and the Sports Saturday program ($5,000).

"Our mission is to impact the lives of young people in a positive way and promote social equity for residents throughout our communities," said Jim Pilmer, Fox Valley Park Foundation director. "Funding these programs gives our youth meaningful opportunities."

Over the last two decades, the Fox Valley Park Foundation has raised more than $550,000 to fund youth programs offered in over 50 local schools. More than 3,000 local youth have benefited.
