C.A.T.I.F. Pays it Forward on June 23 at Lamplighters in Downtown Palatine

On June 23, 2017, Palatine-based nonprofit C.A.T.I.F. [Celebrating All That Is Feminine] will host their annual fundraiser at Lamplighter Inn Tavern and Grille in downtown Palatine.

Beneficiaries of this year's event are Selah Freedom, a nonprofit organization that provides aftercare for victims of sex trafficking, and Alpha Chi Omega, who provides support services for battered women and their children.

C.A.T.I.F. was founded by local businesswoman Kara Cermak in 2009, and is a group of professional women who joined forces to make a difference in the lives of women and children in crisis. The organization hosts yearly fundraisers and chooses to donate funds raised established nonprofits that serve the same populations.

"We are thrilled to be raising funds for both Selah Freedom and Alpha Chi Omega; both of these organizations are doing truly important work to empower women, and children, who in many cases are living through their darkest hours," Cermak said.

C.A.T.I.F. has raised more than $125,000 over the last eight years, providing financial support for other organizations such as WINGS - Women in Need Growing Stronger, The Society for the Preservation of Human Dignity (PHD), the Kappa Kappa Gamma Girls' Academy (serves at-risk girls), Jesse Brown VA Medical Center (benefiting female veterans), ARTS Refreshing the Soul and dozens of others.

The event will be held on Friday, June 23, 2017 upstairs at Lamplighter Inn Tavern and Grill, 60 N. Bothwell Street in downtown Palatine from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 pm. It will include a cash raffle, silent and live auctions, cocktails and appetizers.

Early bird tickets are $50 and $60 at the door. Please visit www.CatifCharity.com to register and for more information.
