Congressional Town Hall at Fremd High School, Saturday

Doors open at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday with the Town Hall beginning at 5 p.m. at Fremd High School auditorium, 1000 S. Quentin Rd., Palatine.

Congressman Peter Roskam (R IL-6) has been invited to answer questions from his constituents at this town hall. But since he has so far not responded to the invitation, the Coaltition for a Better Illinois 6th has invited Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky (D IL-9) to host this open town hall meeting, the first with a sitting member of Congress in Illinois' 6th congressional district since before Rep. Roskam was elected in 2007. Everyone in the area is encouraged to attend and ask questions, no matter their political leanings.

Adopt-a-District Town Halls have taken place nationwide in districts where U.S. Representatives refuse to hold town halls.
