Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital encourages seniors with Health & Fitness Day

DOWNERS GROVE - The Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital Health and Wellness Center helped area seniors get up and active during the center's National Senior Health & Fitness Day festivities May 31.

Staying active at any age helps boost energy, maintain a healthy weight and can lower your risk of heart disease, diabetes, heart disease and even dementia.

The center highlighted some of its many classes geared toward seniors by offering a free day of healthy activities for all seniors ages 65 and up, including Mature Strength and Aqua Tone classes, as well as waived the activation fee waived if they join during the celebration of senior fitness.

The 90,000 square-foot facility is located on the hospital's campus at 3551 Highland Avenue and includes specialty services such as massage therapy, a hair salon, nutrition counseling and more.
