Matching funds by MoMo's Concierge Service in 24-hour online Soiree Lyrique fundraiser

MoMo's Concierge Service in Elgin has partnered with Soiree Lyrique in Elgin as its sole sponsor for a 24-hour online Giving Day fundraiser which begins at 6 p.m. Monday, May 29 through 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 30.

MoMo's Concierge Service will match contributions up to a total of $1,000 for donations made at www.ilgive.com/organizations/soiree-lyrique-nfp during that specific 24-hour time frame.

"I am very happy to support the classical vocals arts, Soiree Lyrique, and its founder Solange Sior to raise funds for its first Young Artists Program," said Ramona "Monie" Burns, owner of MoMo's Concierge Service. "A partnership with Soiree Lyrique embraces our enthusiasm for the arts in our community and assists Soiree Lyrique to achieve its goal in helping singers achieve their dreams." The Young Artists Program will conduct a vocal competition with cash awards and scholarships to a five-week training program and performing opportunities for singers of all ages.

In addition, singers will attend Master Classes with Eric Weimer (head coach at the Lyric Opera of Chicago). Scholarship recipients will participate in acting classes and prepare staged scenes under direction of international stage director Amy Hutchinson. They will receive coaching and rehearsals in preparation for two productions: "A Broadway Show" on July 16 and "Opera Scenes" on July 23.
