Cary theater companies to put on plays May 20

Both the Children's Theater Company of Cary and the Youth Theater Company of Cary will host performances of the plays they have been working on in the winter/spring session.

The Cary Park District's Children's Theater Company of Cary will host a performance of "The Snow Queen" at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, May 20, at Cary Junior High, 2109 Crystal Lake Road.

The play is written by Stacey Lane. Twenty-three actors in second to fifth grades have been developing confidence, creativity, and working on memorization and listening skills by being a part of the Children's Theater Company of Cary. The cast has been rehearsing since February. Admission is $4 per person when purchasing tickets at the Cary Park District Community Center through May 19 or $5 at the door the day of the performance. The Cary Park District's Youth Theater Company of Cary will host a performance of "Doc, Doc … Goose!" at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 20, at Cary Junior High, 2109 Crystal Lake Road. The play is written by Patrick Rainville Dorn. Seven actors in sixth through eighth grades have been developing confidence, creativity, and working on memorization and listening skills by being a part of the Youth Theater Company of Cary. The cast has been rehearsing since February. Admission is $4 per person when purchasing tickets at the Cary Park District Community Center through May 19 or $5 at the door the day of the performance.
