Try different brews at Lake Zurich's Craft Beer Festival

The Lake Zurich community will celebrate the change of seasons, as well as specialty microbrews, when it hosts its third annual Craft Beer Festival May 12 and 13 in Paulus Park, 200 S. Rand Road.

The Lake Zurich Craft Beer Festival will feature more than 40 local, regional and national breweries providing a plethora of beverage offerings.

"The Craft Beer Festival has been a hit in the past and we are happy to offer this awesome event for residents and the general community," Park and Recreation Manager Bonnie Caputo said.

"We are excited for the number of different breweries that will be attending and there will be plenty of options available for everyone to find several beers they enjoy."

The festival will run from 5-10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The cost for a single day craft beer tasting pass is $39 in advance and $50 on-site. Designated Driver Tickets are also available for $10. Tasting passholders will receive a souvenir tasting glass and the opportunity for unlimited samples at the festival.

There will be two bands performing each night and several different local food vendors will be present to accommodate festivalgoers. The featured bands will be Gritman & Moran from 5-7 p.m. and Better With Bacon from 8-10 p.m. Friday, and the Mike Novello Band from 5-7 p.m. and Gina Gonzalez and the Wingmen from 8-10 p.m. Saturday.

All guests must be 21 or older with a valid ID to enter the park grounds during the Craft Beer Fest. No pets are permitted on the park grounds.
