MPPL Foundation presents The Shakespeare Project

See and hear Shakespeare in a new light when the Mount Prospect Public Library Foundation brings The Shakespeare Project of Chicago back for a theatrical reading at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 9, at the Mount Prospect Public Library, 50 S. Emerson St., Mount Prospect.

As there are no sets, props, or costumes, you may find the Project's readings help you truly experience Shakespeare's words.

At 7 p.m. the preshow introduction begins. Following the play, a discussion and opportunity to interact with the actors and creative team will further enrich your experience.

In "Love's Labor's Lost," The King of Navarre and his three loyal subjects decide to retire from the world to study and swear an oath to forsake the company of women for three years. Immediately, the Princess of France and her three lovely waiting women arrive on a diplomatic mission. Will the King and his followers remain true to their oaths?

Associate Artistic Director Barbara Zahora directs Shakespeare's comedy of young love coming of age.

This program is sponsored by the Mount Prospect Public Library Foundation, which raises funds for special programming and events. Registration is required. To register, visit www.mppl.org, stop by the library, or call (847) 253-5675.
