Chance to win $50,000 at TriCity Health Partnership's spring benefit

Roll the dice for a chance to win $50,000 at the TriCity Health Partnership's spring fundraiser "Be a Rockstar for Healthcare" on Friday, May 12.

Last year, the free clinic, which provides a range of medical care to individuals in Central Kane County, had 1,800 on-site visits. As a nonprofit, it relies solely on donations, fundraising and grants. The clinic We have been here for 16 years, have over 100 doctor, nurse and dental professionals that volunteer their time here.

At the clinic, patients receive quality health care from qualified volunteer specialists.

The clinic offers the following on-site services for free: primary care for: acute illness, such as pain, injury, virus and infection; chronic illness, such as asthma, diabetes and hypertension; flu immunizations; healthy lifestyles programming; basic wellness checks and health screenings; lab draws; medication assistance; tuberculosis screening; women's health and dental including diagnostic, preventive and restorative services.

Additional services include: acupuncture, chiropractic, dermatology, mammography, physical therapy, podiatry, smoking cessation, vision and X-ray, diagnostic procedures, and limited surgery.

The qualifications to receive care are: being a central Kane County resident or working in central Kane County for a minimum of 20 hours a week; being unable to afford medical services; having an annual income at or below 250 percent of the federal poverty level (for example, $60,625 for a family of four, or $29,425 for an individual); and not currently being enrolled in an effective third-party insurance (Medicaid, Medicare, All Kids, veteran's benefits, disability, or employer-sponsored insurance).

Bring documentation on proof of residency or employment in a town within Central Kane County (i.e., utility bill, mail); photo ID; and proof of income, including current tax return, current paycheck stubs or unemployment for the past 30 days; or written statement from employer if you are paid in cash.

The service area is St. Charles, Geneva, Batavia, and the surrounding areas, including central Kane County.

The clinic is at 318 Walnut St. in St. Charles. Clinic hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Thursday, and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday (for dental only).
