ECC earns 14th consecutive honor for fiscal reporting excellence

The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) has recognized ECC with its Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting.

This is the 14th consecutive year the college has received the certificate in recognition of its comprehensive annual financial report.

"I'm honored to receive this award on behalf of the college and the Business and Finance Division," said Sharon Konny, ECC vice president of business and finance. "This recognition is a testament to the college's commitment to fiscal responsibility and transparency."

The national honor also acknowledges and encourages the college's efforts in making its reports transparent and accessible to the public. According to the GFOA, the certificate is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and "its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.

The GFOA is a nonprofit professional association serving nearly 19,000 government finance professionals throughout North America.
