Danica Patrick brings Healthy Driven campaign to Oak Brook

Danica Patrick, race car driver and spokeswoman for Edward-Elmhurst Health, will play host to "A Girlfriends' Guide to Healthy Driven" next week in Oak Brook.

The "Girlfriends' Guide" event is scheduled from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, at the Oak Brook Bath & Tennis Club, 800 Oak Brook Road.

It will feature:

• Cooking demonstrations with Patrick and Food for Thought, a Chicago-based caterer.

• An opportunity to have your photo taken with Patrick.

• Health displays with information from experts on how to live a Healthy Driven life.

• Trunk show shopping featuring beauty items, clothing, jewelry and products for the home.

• Complimentary wine and hors d'oeuvres.

Patrick, who grew up in Roscoe, drives the No. 10 Ford for Stewart-Haas Racing in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series.

The most successful woman in the history of American auto racing, she helped Edward-Elmhurst launch its Healthy Driven campaign in 2014 with the goal of getting people to take charge of their health. Since then, Patrick has been featured in TV and radio commercials, full-page newspaper and magazine ads, billboards, and as a guest blogger on Edward-Elmhurst's website, EEHealth.org.
