'Be The Match' at bone marrow donor registry drive May 3

The Harper College Student Nurses' Association in partnership with Be The Match will hold a bone marrow donor registry drive in support of classmate Emily Kmiecik, a third-semester nursing student, as she battles leukemia.

The donor drive will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, at Harper College's Avanté Center concourse (Building Z), 1200 W. Algonquin Road, Palatine. Convenient parking is located in lot 3.

The community is invited, and there is no cost to participate. The initial screening is a cheek swab. Individuals between the ages of 18 and 44 are eligible. For more information, visit bethematch.org.
